The first General Meeting for the 2010-2011 academic school year is scheduled to take place in the Robert Sutherland Room in the JDUC at 7pm on Thursday 30 September. There will be a general update on the local’s activities, and a vote to ratify bylaws. You must be a full member to attend and vote. That means that you are currently a graduate Teaching Assistant or Fellow, and you have to have signed a membership card [updated September 27th]. If you haven’t done so already, you’ll have the chance to sign a membership card outside of the Robert Sutherland room before 7pm. Your name must appear on the list we have (from the university) in order to be eligible to attend. Please bring your student card to show as identification [updated September 27th].
The bylaws have been assembled by members of the interim executive. It represents the standard clauses found in other bylaws of TA union locals at other universities.
