By The Numbers

There is a lot of talk over the projected cost of the recently announced election.  Consequently, you might be interested in this cost comparison:

Cost of untendered F35 contract = $29 billion
Cost of F35 contract per capita = $852.94 per person

Cost of G8/G20 = $1.8 billion
Cost of G8/G20 per capita = $52.94 per person

Cost of proposed 2011 corporate tax cuts = $6 billion
Cost of proposed 2011 corporate tax cuts per capita = $176.47 per person

Projected cost of 2011 election: $300 million
Projected cost of 2011 election per capita = $8.82 per person

This is only the tip of the iceberg.  Would you pay $8.82 for an election?
