PSAC Ontario at Toronto Pride Week 2011

The Public Service of Alliance of Canada Ontario Region is elated to support our GLBT brothers and sisters at all times. The PSAC has always had a history of fighting for the equality and equity of all of its members and for the broader society.

Did you know that unions had a large part in the decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada in 1969?

Today, we look to celebrate how far our brothers and sisters have come and how the alliance of GLBT and their straight supporters have changed the way that governments treat their citizens.

However, we must be vigilant as well as celebratory and this is why the PSAC asks it’s members to support the Toronto Pride Parade. Our union has a responsibility to defend what we have and continue the good fight for a fully inclusive society and this event is one of many ways we can support this cause.

Come join us!

Volunteer and decorate at Bayview Avenue and Rosedale Valley Boulevard at 9:45 am on July, 3, 2011 AND/OR Join the actual float and march in the parade! Meet at Bloor Street West and Jarvis Street at 12:00pm on July, 3, 2011.

There will be water and juice available during the Parade.
Please bring noise makers if you have them.
